Accessibility

Last updated 26 September 2026

We want everyone to be able to learn on FreeCourses.App, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

  • Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields so screen readers can navigate them.
  • A "Skip to content" link and visible focus outlines support keyboard-only use.
  • Illustrations have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Dark and light modes, with text colours chosen for contrast in both.
  • Text reflows when you zoom, and lessons work on phones, tablets and desktops.
  • Certificates can be printed or saved as a PDF from your browser.

Known limitations

Some interactive tools and diagrams in lessons may be harder to use with a screen reader or keyboard than ordinary text. The lesson text around them explains the same ideas. We're working to improve them.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on the site doesn't work for you, email hello@freecourses.app with the page and what happened. We'll try to fix it, and to get you the information in another way in the meantime. We take our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) seriously. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Australian Human Rights Commission.
